Sounds good to me, tut-tut. I've not re-read any Dickens in a while. And 1/2 way through Mister Pip, so my post may be a bit late on that. Too, I may have to bow out for June's book, as I've got a lot of catching up to do...
Oooh,Cinnamon...I just pulled one from my "to be read" pile: "The Chrysalis" by Harold Morton Kramer( 1st edition March 1909 )...um...not sure if it would be an easy one to find tho'...it's around 418 pages and looks like it's based on fact but fictionalised.

ReplyDeleteWell 'Great Expectations' might be a good start! Please not the Old Curiosity Shop- an overdose on pathos there i think :)
