Mr. Pip

Just popping in to note it is interesting how Dickens features in Out Stealing Horses as well as this book. How about a Dickens work this fall?

  3. Sounds good to me, tut-tut. I've not re-read any Dickens in a while. And 1/2 way through Mister Pip, so my post may be a bit late on that. Too, I may have to bow out for June's book, as I've got a lot of catching up to do...

  4. Well 'Great Expectations' might be a good start! Please not the Old Curiosity Shop- an overdose on pathos there i think :)

  5. Oooh,Cinnamon...I just pulled one from my "to be read" pile: "The Chrysalis" by Harold Morton Kramer( 1st edition March 1909 )...um...not sure if it would be an easy one to find tho'...it's around 418 pages and looks like it's based on fact but fictionalised.
